You can add mods to purple and gold weapons. You can also replace the mods exsisting on them (However you lose the mod that was on them)
You cannot add a mod on a Fiery Dragon Sword, wands, rods, and some other types of items. Sorena Mascar |

Not sure I fully understand your question, but you can replace weapon mods with new ones at the cost of losing the old one. To my knowledge, if you have a purple/gold weapon and change a mode, it will stay the same color (the color only helps determine the chance of more/better starting mods anyway).

Sorena Mascar - you can add mod's to the Fiery Dragon Sword. You can add the grip, but you can't replace the hilt - the hilt is preset and fixed as a Fiery Hilt.
to the OP - you can add any mods you want to wepons which allow mods (swords, axes, staff's, hammers & bows). If the weapon already has an upgrade then the new upgrade will overwrite the old upgrade. Also, the color of the weapon is irrelevant when it comes to upgrades - it doesn't matter if the weapon is white, blue, purple or gold.. if it's an upgradable weapon, you can add an upgrade to it. |
